Having said that Bangladesh has never reached the semi-finals of the world cup and they are facing India in the quarter-finals this year. Pakistan started their world cup by losing to West Indies and India and no one would have predicted that would reach the quarters. They turned all their fortunes around by exhibiting a string of extraordinary performances. Their bowling attack spearheaded by Mohammad Irfan took the attack to the batsmen and got them all out a number of times. It will be interesting to see who will be called in as the replacement for Irfan as he is injured and not available for the knockout matches.
